Technical Specialist

Job Title

Source new supplier for existing products

Respond to internal requests for material and concept development

Assess and ensure product compliance with global regulations, focused on Direct and Indirect Food contact guidelines

Perform in-depth analysis of technical issues with adhesive substrate compatibility in specific applications

Design and oversee extensive testing of product performance in applications

Work directly with quality assurance to evaluate and improve new opportunity testing

Journal ongoing projects for current and future reference

Required Skills/Knowledge

Expertise in flexible films

Expertise in pressure sensitive adhesives and their chemical makeup

Able to communicate about complex topics in a simple and clear style

Strong verbal and written skills

Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills under pressure

High comfort level with engaged team problem solving

Detail and data driven

Comfortable in a hands-on, do whatever it takes environment

Experience

10 years flexible packaging/pressure sensitive adhesive work experience

Education: BA/BS or comparable degree or certification in a technical field
