This position is onsite at our well-equipped Rehabilitation Center in Richmond, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Physiolife, your responsibilities will include:

• Directing an individualized physical therapy treatment plan that targets the prevention of disabilities, relief of pain, and restoration of muscle functions.
• Supervising physical therapy assistants and ensuring they implement treatment plans effectively.
• Conducting in-depth assessments of clients' physical abilities through diagnostic and prognostic tests, continuously adapting care based on evaluations.
• Evaluating clients' home environments, providing recommendations to improve independence and facilitate recovery.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, traction, massage, and other physical agents as part of the treatment regimen.
• Regularly documenting clients' progress, changes in condition, and response to therapy within clinical records, such as evaluations and discharge summaries.
• Engaging in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively plan and evaluate comprehensive treatment options for each client.
• Providing education and training to clients and their families on the usage and care of therapy devices, ensuring understanding of the overall therapy program.
• Participating in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest therapy practices and regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse group of patients, including those recovering from surgeries, managing chronic conditions, or seeking rehabilitation from injuries. Our clients range from athletes needing functional rehabilitation to elderly patients requiring support with mobility and daily activities. Your ability to interact compassionately and effectively with clients of all ages and backgrounds is crucial to fostering a supportive and motivating environment.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in rehabilitation.
• Current state licensure for Physical Therapy (in good standing) in Virginia.
• A valid CPR certification and a driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in a rehabilitation center or similar clinical setting will be given preference. Familiarity with patient management systems and documentation processes is beneficial, as well as experience working within an interdisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skills.
