Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Essential Physical Therapy, you will work in a collaborative and supportive onsite environment within our rehabilitation facility. The clinic features modern treatment areas equipped with the latest technology and tools, allowing for effective therapy sessions. Our work schedule is from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, providing a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care to each patient, developing tailored treatment plans that address their specific goals and needs.
• Effectively manage a patient caseload, dedicating sufficient time and attention to ensure quality care and progress.
• Demonstrate competency in orthopedic outpatient care, leveraging experience to apply a variety of therapeutic interventions.
• Utilize cost-effective treatment methods to enhance patient mobility and function.
• Prioritize non-surgical treatment options to minimize reliance on medications, promoting a comprehensive approach to patient wellness.
• Craft comprehensive care plans that integrate multiple therapeutic modalities and strategies, adapting to each patient's evolving conditions.
• Design fitness and wellness programs specifically catered to the unique requirements of patients, fostering independence and long-term health.
• Implement evidence-based interventions to achieve optimal patient outcomes, continuously assessing progress and adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process, providing educational resources to facilitate healing and promote a healthier lifestyle.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare practitioners to ensure an interdisciplinary approach to care, enhancing treatment efficacy.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment sessions accurately in our EMR system, ensuring compliance and continuity of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily engage with a diverse group of patients, including athletes recovering from injuries, individuals with chronic pain, and those undergoing post-surgical rehabilitation. Our clinic serves various demographics, and you will tailor your approach to meet the unique needs of each individual, aiming to restore their physical capabilities and improve their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Must hold an active and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no history of sanctions or disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to create effective exercise programs.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly Web PT, to ensure meticulous documentation and patient record management.
• Strong knowledge of current, evidence-based physical therapy practices and techniques.

Preferred Experience

While experience is highly valued, candidates with a demonstrated passion for the field and a commitment to continuous learning are encouraged to apply. Experience in a multidisciplinary team environment and familiarity with sports rehabilitation are pluses.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
