Work Environment

You will be working at our rehabilitation center in Richmond, where our state-of-the-art facilities provide an encouraging atmosphere for both patients and staff. We operate during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, with a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to create tailored treatment plans aimed at optimizing recovery and functional mobility.
• Implement individualized treatment strategies derived from evidence-based practices while continually reassessing patient progress to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration, working closely with occupational therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to maximize patient care quality and effectiveness.
• Educate patients and caregivers about their treatment plans, providing guidance on exercises, equipment, and self-care techniques to facilitate ongoing wellness.
• Exhibit exceptional customer service, contributing to a welcoming clinic environment to enhance patient satisfaction and retention.
• Meet and maintain minimum patient utilization goals and organizational business objectives while keeping accurate documentation of patient care activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will have experience treating a diverse patient population, including orthopedic injuries, pediatric conditions, neurological disorders, and sports-related rehabilitation. Our approach emphasizes personalized treatment protocols and reinforces the importance of building strong, trusting relationships with patients to help them exceed their functional goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills, along with computer literacy for documentation and scheduling.
• Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with patients, caregivers, and the community to promote an effective healing environment.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred, as it represents advanced knowledge in the field.
• At least two years of professional experience practicing as a Physical Therapist is required.
• Current certification in CPR and experience working with diverse patient backgrounds is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
