Work Environment

The clinic is situated in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Richmond, Virginia, providing a conducive atmosphere for both therapists and patients. You will enjoy a Monday to Friday workweek, covering 40 hours, while being fully engaged in onsite patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, diagnosing their needs and creating individualized treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic interventions using current evidence-based practices to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient progress diligently, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure recovery goals are met.
• Provide education and training to patients and their caregivers about rehabilitation processes, exercises, and coping strategies.
• Demonstrate outstanding customer service skills, enhancing the overall patient experience within the clinic.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic patient care.
• Maintain communication with referring physicians regarding patients' progress, challenges, and successes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work with a diverse patient population. Your expertise will cater to individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Additionally, you may engage with pediatric patients, adapting treatment approaches to meet age-specific needs. Understanding and addressing the unique perspectives of each patient aligns with our commitment to holistic and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT preferred), with a valid State License to practice Physical Therapy.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster patient and team interactions.
• Competence in using electronic medical record systems for documentation and patient management.
• A passion for building relationships and achieving patient goals through personalized care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation techniques specific to an orthopedic setting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead patient education workshops and engage in community outreach for health and wellness initiatives.
• Proficiency in utilizing outcome measurement tools to assess patient progress.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
