Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Ernest Physical Therapy, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment interventions tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
• Providing skilled therapeutic care to facilitate recovery and restore functional mobility, utilizing a variety of modalities and techniques.
• Educating patients and their caregivers about the rehabilitation process, exercises, and ways to improve their condition outside of therapy sessions.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of each patient's progress and adapting treatment plans based on clinical findings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapists work with a wide range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, pediatric concerns, and sports-related injuries. Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position has the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT)
• Current and valid physical therapy license in the State of Virginia
• Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in word processing and electronic health record systems
• A demonstrated ability to build rapport with patients and foster positive relationships within the community

Preferred Experience

While not required, previous experience in an outpatient setting treating individuals across various disciplines such as orthopedics, pediatrics, neurology, and sports medicine will be beneficial. Compensation and Benefits
