Senior Accountant – Accounts ReceivableLocation: Aliso Viejo, CA Duration: 12 Months (06/08/2026 – 06/08/2027) Pay Rate: $38.94 – $48.65/hr (W2)Position SummaryClient is seeking a Senior Accountant – Accounts Receivable with 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience focused on Accounts Receivable (AR) and Revenue Accounting. The role is responsible for leading end-to-end AR operations, supporting month-end close, preparing journal entries, ensuring revenue accuracy, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and assisting with audits and process improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the complete Accounts Receivable cycle: Customer invoicingCollectionsCash applicationCustomer setupCredit limit reviewsAR aging analysisAccount reconciliationsPerform monthly AR reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.Support month-end and quarter-end close activities.Prepare and post journal entries related to AR, revenue, and cash.Support Revenue Recognition activities and maintain internal controls.Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Commercial, and Finance teams.Support ERP implementations, testing, and process improvements.Assist internal and external audits.Prepare financial reports and management analysis.Mentor junior accounting staff when needed.Required Experience5–7 years of progressive accounting experience.Strong background in: Accounts ReceivableRevenue AccountingGeneral LedgerJournal EntriesAccount ReconciliationsMonth-End CloseRequired Technical SkillsAccountingAccounts Receivable (AR)Revenue AccountingRevenue RecognitionJournal EntriesCash ApplicationCollectionsCustomer InvoicingCredit ReviewsAccount ReconciliationsAR AgingMonth-End CloseQuarter-End CloseGeneral LedgerFinancial ReportingInternal ControlsAudit SupportSystemsOracle ERP (preferred)ERP SystemsMicrosoft Excel (Advanced) VLOOKUPPivot TablesMicrosoft OfficeSoft SkillsAnalytical skillsProblem solvingAttention to detailTime managementWritten & verbal communicationAbility to work independentlyCross-functional collaborationConfidentiality & integrityEducationBachelor's degree in: AccountingFinanceRelated field
