An Accounts Payable Specialist at Family Farm and Home will perform accounting and clerical tasks for the maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. They resolve invoice discrepancies as well as communicate with our retail locations and merchandising department. Responsibilities A. Promote Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values. B. Responsible for all accounting work needed to ensure vendor invoices are processed in an efficient and timely manner. C. Reconcile monthly vendor statements. D. Research and resolve discrepancies that are associated with the processing of purchase orders and invoices. E. Review and assemble invoices to be completed for payment. F. Obtain proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments. G. Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices, calculating and taking discounts when applicable. H. Respond to vendor inquiries. I. Perform other duties that are needed to support the accounting department. J. All other duties as assigned by supervisor or leadership. Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements Prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Be organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Possess a broad range of computer skills and work within an online database system. Must be a team player with a strong work ethic and need for limited supervision; strong communication skills are required. This role requires a minimum of two years of related work experience and/or a degree in accounting or finance is preferred. Computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment are a must.
