This full-time position is based remotely, providing vital support to students with diverse special needs from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a vital connection to the school environment.

Work Environment\n

This role offers a flexible remote work setting, allowing you to engage with students and staff via telehealth methods. The ideal candidate will work weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekend responsibilities to accommodate family needs and crises. While you will primarily work independently from a hospice center’s supportive environment, collaboration with educators and multidisciplinary teams remains a cornerstone of this role.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments tailored to identify the unique needs of students with special circumstances.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address emotional well-being and facilitate successful integration into the educational environment.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at managing conditions including ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and ADHD.
\n
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, guiding students through their personal growth journeys and helping them develop effective coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate closely with educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to ensure a holistic approach to student care and achieve optimal educational outcomes.

• Offer crisis intervention strategies and immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
\n
• Educate students and their families regarding mental health conditions, coping strategies, and available resources to foster understanding and resilience.
\n
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards to track progress and support transparency.
\n
• Participate actively in team meetings and case conferences, contributing insights and strategies to enhance overall service delivery.

• Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in mental health care and social work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on a diverse population of students who require specialized mental health support due to various conditions. The LCSW plays a critical role in fostering students’ emotional and educational success, providing therapies and interventions tailored to their individual needs.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
\n
• A current and valid LCSW license in the state of Texas is mandatory.

• Demonstrated understanding of mental health disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed care practices.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to effectively engage with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.

• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical guidelines while delivering high-quality mental health services.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting or working with children and adolescents.

• Hands-on experience providing individual and group therapy using various therapeutic approaches and modalities.

• Prior experience in educational settings or special education programs is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
