About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as its chief financial strategist and fiduciary leader. The CFO will be responsible for leading the multi-year financial strategy, long-range planning, and scenario modeling in alignment with the organization's priorities and growth ambitions. This role is pivotal in building organization-wide financial clarity and literacy, as well as leading and developing a high-performing finance team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with a master’s in finance or business administration preferred, and current CPA licensure is also preferred. Experience in organizations that manage philanthropic or stewarded assets, such as community foundations, DAF sponsors, endowments, or grantmaking institutions, is essential. The CFO will also be a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board, providing executive leadership for investment oversight and governance. They will guide periodic reviews of investment policy, drive finance systems and process modernization, and ensure adherence to legal, tax, and reporting standards for foundations, DAFs, and charitable assets. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in working with boards and board committees in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations, and the ability to maintain effective relationships with auditors, banks, investment managers, and insurers. The CFO will play a key role in shaping the next strategic plan and must be prepared to lead, mentor, and scale the finance team in a transformational capacity.
