CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist: Weekend Shift The CNC Machinist: Weekend Shift is responsible for producing parts to specifications using machine tools, hand tools, and inspection equipment. The machinist will: Load and unload machines Change tools Set up CNC machines (Haas, Mazak, Doosan) Perform offsets Edit G and M codes Perform secondary duties (broach, buffer, deburr, grind, etc.) Inspect parts Perform general maintenance on machines Other duties as assigned The days and times for Weekend Shift are Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 5:00am-5:30pm. Shift differential included. Overtime occurs as necessary. Requirements: Education / Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 years experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic computer skills Basic math skills (standard and metric) Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools Ability to follow work instructions accurately Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal) Ability to work well independently as well as with others Have attention to detail Ability to multi-task Ability to proficiently read and write in English Ability to follow all safety rules Ability to work independently without guidance Basic understanding of inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.) Basic understanding of G-Code and M-Code and ability to write basic programs Knowledge of machine operations Ability to operate crane Ability to read and understand a blueprint, tolerances, and drafting symbols related to machining Experience with Haas, Mazak and Doosan equipment is a plus Ability to do machining problem solving Ability to solve tooling issues Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
