Work Environment\n

This position allows for a flexible remote work setting, enabling you to deliver care to clients in a supportive and innovative manner. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of like-minded health professionals, ensuring a cohesive approach to mental health treatment. Our normal business hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, promoting an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms on clients’ daily lives, applying standardized assessment tools.

• Collaborate closely with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, preferences, and goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address mood disorders effectively.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, various treatment approaches, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journeys.
\n
• Monitor client progress and outcomes, regularly updating treatment plans as needed to reflect changes in client needs and therapeutic responses.

• Engage in collaborative discussions with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated treatment plans for clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research in mood disorder treatments to enhance therapeutic practices and client outcomes.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment approaches in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development initiatives to foster skill enhancement and adherence to best practices.

• Advocate for clients, combating stigma attached to mental health struggles and ensuring their voices are heard in their treatment process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals affected by mood disorders including depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. Our diverse patient population reflects a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, allowing you to employ culturally sensitive therapeutic practices. Your work will directly contribute to improved mental health outcomes, stability, and quality of life for clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and experience in collaboratively working with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.

• Demonstrated success in achieving positive outcomes with clients experiencing mood disorders.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling strong rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
