Purchasing Coordinator

Verco Decking Inc., a division of Nucor Corporation, is currently seeking applicants for a Purchasing Coordinator located in Phoenix, AZ. This role offers growth opportunities within Nucor. Basic Job Functions Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and teammates. Execute purchase orders for suppliers, perform daily steel checks, and verify inventory coverage. Detail‑oriented with strong multitasking ability. Execute weekly corporate reporting, work closely with plants during the inventory cycle, verify counts, and prepare inventory packages for leadership. Assist with the approval process on steel invoices, report inventory issues, and follow up until resolved. Support the team and other departments with willingness to perform other duties as assigned. Demonstrate ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Purchasing or similar experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines. Problem solving, pursue results. Initiative and willingness to take on additional responsibilities and challenges. Preferences Experience with SAP. Manufacturing environment experience. Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
