As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Specialist in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and telecom location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness through strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site protocols, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or disturbances in a timely manner.
• Support day-to-day operations by assisting with badge checks, directing foot traffic, and reporting maintenance, access control, and/or property-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
