Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (L&D)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift; 4x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Requires working every other weekend and holidays as needed.

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery, focusing on high-risk, high-acuity patients. Candidates must have experience in fast-paced environments and be comfortable floating to related areas, including postpartum and antepartum care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide care to midwifery clients, private OBs, and participate in adult recovery services.
• Function as a Baby Nurse during delivery and provide continuous care of newborns until transfer to postpartum.
• Conduct newborn assessments and administer necessary medications, including Vitamin K injections.
• Utilize EPIC electronic fetal monitoring for patient charting and assessments.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and manage anticoagulation therapy as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-acuity, high-paced environment; 5 years preferred.
• Active compact RN license required.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP required; ACLS, AWHONN Advanced and Intermediate preferred.
• Experience with newborn care, medication administration, and high-risk obstetric procedures.
