This role is part of Microsoft AI's Superintelligence Team. The MAIST is astartup-like team inside Microsoft AI, created to push the boundaries of AI towardHumanist Superintelligence-ultra-capable systems thatremaincontrollable, safety-aligned, and anchored to human values.Our mission is to create AI that amplifies human potential while ensuring humanityremainsfirmly in control. We'reseekinghighly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Program Managers to help bring our vision to life. Ideal candidates will:

• Deeply understand cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and the deployment of AI/ML workloads on Azure.

• Haveexperience collaborating with researchers, engineers, and cloud platform teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

Starting January 26, 2026, MAI employees are expected to work from a designated Microsoft office at least four days a week if they live within 50 miles (U.S.) or 25 miles (non-U.S., country-specific) of that location. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary byjurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects and programsacross the Microsoft AI team andAzureinfrastructureteams, including end-to-end planning, timelines, milestones, performance metrics, and resource needs.

• Collaborate with product teams, engineers, researchers, andpartners todrive the AIteamsinterests,identifygapsand drive timelines toward resolution and mitigation.

• Leverage data and analytics to identify opportunities for improvement, track progress, and measure the impact of quality and efficiency programs.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and growth.

• Own the status of key Azure projects, proactivelyidentifyingrisks and proposing solutions to ensuretimelydelivery.

• Communicate program strategies, progress, and results to executive leadership and key stakeholders, advocating for quality and efficiency within the team.

• Work closely with teams on cloud infrastructure, data engineering, pre-training, post-training, and product feedback.

• Advance the AI frontier responsibly.

• Embody Microsoft's culture and values.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• STEMbachelor's degreeAND 6+years' experiencein technical program management, cloud infrastructure engineering, AI/ML, or product development
  OR equivalent experience.

• 6+years' experiencemanaging cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• STEMBachelor's DegreeAND 10+years experiencein technical program management, cloud infrastructure engineering, AI/ML, or product development
  OR equivalent experience.

• 10+years experiencemanaging cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.

Technical Program Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.
