Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations utilizing standardized assessments and observational techniques across different age demographics including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Create tailored treatment plans addressing each patient's immediate and long-term goals which can range from communication to cognitive rehabilitation.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice articulation, and swallowing function.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care.
• Provide education to patients and their families to bolster patient progress beyond clinical visits.
• Partake in the evaluation and intervention process for occasional inpatient cases, ensuring continuity of care throughout the treatment journey.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation following state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• A completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required for candidates not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification essential within 30 days after employment commences.
