Location: Newark, NJ Terminal to NYC Medical Hubs

Pay Rate: $62,500 / year (Full-Time Equivalent)

Shift / Schedule: 2-Week Rotating Shift Matrix (AM or PM Shift Framework)

Are you a professional, safety-conscious driver looking for a structured, high-paying full-time opportunity? We are seeking dedicated Transport Drivers to operate specialized non-CDL medical logistics vehicles out of our terminal base in Newark, NJ to major healthcare facilities across New York City.

In this role, you will be a vital link in the medical supply chain, ensuring life-saving medical devices and clinical equipment are safely transported, handled, and decontaminated across designated hospital loops.

• Terminal Operations & Route Execution: Report daily to the Newark, NJ terminal to perform pre-trip vehicle inspections via digital fleet management tools (Verizon Connect), navigate routes into NYC, and maintain scheduled hospital dock handoffs.
• Equipment Transport & Handling: Safely transport medical device inventory across specialized hospital delivery loops.
• Safety & Sanitation Protocols: Execute mandatory electrostatic chemical decontamination fogging of vehicle biohazard boxes upon return to base, adhering strictly to DOT, FMCSA, and company safety guidelines.
• Shuttle & Fleet Operations: Coordinate with team members for company-provided shuttle transfers between the Newark base and NYC staging locations.

Work Schedule & Rotating Shifts

This position operates on a 2-Week Rotating Team Matrix (Team A / Team B) designed to maintain zero-gap healthcare coverage while fully complying with DOT short-haul Hours of Service (HOS) rules. Drivers are assigned to either an AM Shift or PM Shift crew.

1. Shift Windows

• AM Shift Crew (2 Drivers): 3:15 AM – 4:00 PM (12.75 hrs)
• PM Shift Crew (2 Drivers): 10:30 AM – 11:15 PM (12.75 hrs)
• Weekend Bridge Crew (Sat & Sun Loops): 9:45 AM – 4:00 PM (6.25 hrs)
• • Routine: Friday AM drivers cover Saturday's 12:00 PM loop; Friday PM drivers cover Sunday's 12:00 PM loop.

2. Bi-Weekly Rotating Schedule Matrix

• Week 1: Work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday + Weekend Bridge Duty.
• Week 2: Work Thursday & Friday (Flips with opposite team).

What’s Needed?

• Driver Requirements: Valid Driver's License with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR). No CDL required.
• FMCSA & DOT Compliance: Ability to manage continuous 14-hour workday clocks and adhere to DOT short-haul requirements.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to handle long driving windows, perform pre-trip inspections, and manage chemical decontamination/fogging equipment.
• Punctuality & Reliability: Strict adherence to clock-in times at the Newark terminal is essential to maintain hospital delivery loops.
