Assistant VP - Global Markets New York, United States Up to $250,000/ year Investment Banking Analyst Strategy Analyst Quantitative Analyst Risk Analyst Capital Markets Analyst Barclays Capital Inc. seeks Assistant VP - Global Markets in New York, NY (multiple positions available): Evaluate financial risks for customer/clients-related trades and flows within the LATAM FX macro flow business. Provide solutions to clients through the market making process on LATAM FX providing liquidity on an ongoing basis. Contribute to the performance and profit-generation for the LATAM FX business through effective trading decisions. Provide clients and sales team with market insight related to flows, market color, trading related commentaries and trade ideas on an ongoing basis. Grow the LATAM FX trading and market making franchise working alongside the sales team to improve the Barclays Trading team as a visible leader in the LATAM FX franchise. Drive pricing/quote risk valuation for the LATAM FX Macro transactions as well as hedging instruments. Provide ongoing effective delivery of trading desk positions, risk and profit/loss. Communicate regularly with top management to ensure relevant information is communicated to the trading team. Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $188,178 per year Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $250,000 per year The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. Purpose of the role To execute trades and manage risk within a defined portfolio of financial instruments and staying informed about market trends and developments to make informed trading decisions. Accountabilities Execution of buy and sell orders or pricing of liquidity in various financial instruments while adhering to the bank's trading strategies and risk parameters. Monitoring and analysis of global financial markets, economic indicators, news, and geopolitical events to identify trading opportunities and assess market risks. Management and monitoring of the risk associated with the trading portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal risk management guidelines. Collaboration with research analysts and other teams to gather insights and information for trading decisions.
