Junior Procurement Officer WFS BRU and LGG Your Role The Junior Procurement Officer supports the Procurement function by managing operational purchasing activities, supplier administration, compliance screening, and procurement-related documentation. The role is designed for a motivated junior professional with strong organizational skills and a commercial mindset who is eager to develop a career in procurement. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training and work under close supervision while gradually taking ownership of defined procurement processes. Your Responsibilities Procurement Administration Manage low-value procurement requests from initiation to completion in accordance with company procedures. Collect and validate purchasing requirements from internal stakeholders. Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders. Ensure procurement activities are completed accurately and within agreed timelines. Operational Purchasing Create and issue purchase orders to suppliers. Monitor order acknowledgements and follow up on outstanding confirmations. Track supplier delivery dates and proactively communicate delays or issues. Provide regular status updates to internal customers regarding their requests and orders. Support the resolution of routine supplier and purchasing issues. Supplier Compliance and Due Diligence Perform supplier onboarding and third-party compliance screening. Follow up with suppliers to obtain required documentation and information. Maintain compliance records and ensure supporting documentation is complete and up to date. Support audit and regulatory requirements by maintaining accurate supplier files. Data and Documentation Management Maintain procurement records, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, and supplier documentation. Ensure proper filing and storage of procurement documents within SharePoint and other company systems. Support data quality initiatives through regular reviews and updates of procurement databases. Contribute to audit readiness by ensuring complete traceability of procurement activities. Stakeholder Support Act as a first point of contact for routine procurement-related inquiries. Build positive working relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Support the Procurement team with ad hoc requests and special projects. Assist in identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and administrative efficiency. What We Expect From You Education & Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field. Recent graduate or up to 2 years of professional experience. Procurement experience is an advantage but not mandatory. Strong command of English, both written and spoken. Specific Knowledge Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Comfortable using SharePoint for document storage and management. Ability to learn and use procurement, ERP, and workflow systems efficiently. Skills Strong organizational and time-management skills. Commercial mindset and customer-oriented approach. High attention to detail and accuracy. Proactive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
