Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in a mixed ICU/Step Down unit requiring 2 years of critical care experience.

Job Details

• 20-bed mixed ICU/Step Down critical care unit,
• ICU patient ratio of 2:1 and Step Down ratio of 3:1,
• Floating required to sister unit 5S for Step Down 1:3 or progressive care 4:1 patients,
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30,
• Weekend and holiday rotation commitment required,
• Patient population includes severe respiratory failure, sepsis/septic shock, hemodynamic instability, neurologic conditions, metabolic/endocrine disorders, cardiac conditions, and GI/hepatic failure,
• Utilizes continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, arterial lines, mechanical and noninvasive ventilation, titrated IV medications, and enteral/parenteral nutrition,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required,
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required,
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA),
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required,
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start,
• Must provide full SSN and DOB, driver's license copy, skills checklist, and 2 separate references,

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing for high-acuity ICU and Step Down patients, including management of invasive lines, ventilators, and titrated medications,
• Must have a US Social Security Number and a US home address,
• Radius rule applies; local candidates accepted but may receive a reduced rate depending on distance from facility,
• First-time travelers may be considered
