Description

• Conduct patient evaluations in inpatient or outpatient environments and develop tailored treatment protocols
• Implement physical therapy interventions with a focus on improving mobility, strength, balance, and function
• Partner with nurses, physicians, case management, and rehabilitation peers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic goals, discharge plans, and home exercises
• Document assessments, treatments, and advancements in accordance with facility standards
• Engage in care team rounds and interdisciplinary meetings to facilitate coordinated patient care

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable qualification from an accredited institution

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist
• CPR certification preferred
• Specialized certifications (such as neurological or geriatric) are advantageous but not mandatory

Skills

• Prior experience strongly preferred
• Capability to manage patients with complex medical and mobility challenges
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
