We are looking for full‑time Automotive Assistant and Service Managers to join Team Mavis at our state‑of‑the‑art automotive service and retail tire sales centers in the East Northport, NY area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States. Assistant Manager Responsibilities As a future leader of Mavis, the Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager to ensure each Mavis retail location operates efficiently, safely and effectively. Assistant Managers are responsible for enforcing established policies, procedures and standards, scheduling mechanics/technicians’ work, managing outside orders, ensuring the quality and timely completion of jobs, meeting customer expectations, and maintaining the safety of team members. Service Manager Responsibilities The Service Manager assists customers with tire selections and recommends necessary under‑car repair services. To ensure complete customer satisfaction by delivering timely completion of high‑quality vehicle repair and maintenance, Service Managers direct the workflow of Mechanics, Alignment Technicians and Tire Technicians, and stage vehicle repair/maintenance work. They drive sales initiatives, communicate directly with customers, assess customer needs, provide information about requested or necessary automotive repairs and maintenance, and strive to meet customer expectations. Qualifications To be eligible for the position of Automotive Assistant or Service Manager, you must: be at least 18 years of age ; be legally authorized to work in the United States ; and possess 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive parts and/or tire sales , 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive repairs/maintenance , or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position .
