About the Role

\n

Plumlogix is launching Arya, a mature AI inbound assistant that qualifies website visitors, answers inquiries, books meetings, and (for e-commerce) suggests products, tracks orders, and processes returns. We're bringing Arya to market through the Shopify App Store and WordPress plugin directory and are looking for a contractor with hands-on experience launching and marketing apps/plugins in these specific ecosystems.

What You'll Own

\n

\n
• Shopify App Store and WordPress.org listing strategy: naming, descriptions, keyword/ASO optimization, screenshots, and demo video direction
\n
• Guiding the app through each marketplace's review and approval process from a marketing/positioning standpoint
\n
• Building initial traction in relevant online communities (Shopify Community forums, WordPress support forums, Facebook Groups, Reddit, etc.) without violating self-promotion norms
\n
• Recruiting an initial beta cohort of merchants/site owners for early reviews and testimonials ahead of public listing
\n
• Identifying and building relationships with community moderators and power users for word-of-mouth growth
\n
• Advising on marketplace-specific pricing/packaging conventions (e.g., Shopify subscription norms vs. WordPress freemium norms)

What We're Looking For

\n

\n
• Proven experience launching at least one app on the Shopify App Store and/or a plugin on WordPress.org (please share examples/links)
\n
• Familiarity with app store optimization (ASO) principles as applied to Shopify/WordPress search
\n
• Experience engaging authentically in niche online communities (Shopify/WordPress-focused Facebook Groups, Reddit, forums) without it reading as spam
\n
• Comfortable working with technical teams to understand review requirements (e.g., GDPR webhooks, billing API integration) even if not building them yourself
\n
• Strong written communication for listing copy, community posts, and outreach messaging
\n

• Experience with B2B SaaS or AI product marketing
\n
• Existing relationships within Shopify Partner or WordPress developer/agency communities
\n
• Experience with e-commerce or lead-generation tools specifically
\n

Engagement Type

• Contract / fractional — proposed initial engagement covering the pre-launch and first 60-90 days post-launch, with potential to extend based on results. Open to hourly, project-based, or retainer structures depending on candidate preference.
