The float team provides direct patient care, supporting clinical practice needs. LPNs assist with patient visits, procedures, rooming, administering immunizations, and other direct care tasks. The float pool supports 16 LPN practices and each LPN trains in six to ten specialties or locations based on FTE and practice mix. Typical hours are Monday‑Friday, 7–8 am start, with most shifts 7:45‑4:45. Under RN or supervisor supervision, the LPN collects data, communicates information for assessment and care planning, and delivers care per patient plans and organizational policies. The LPN focuses on excellent communication, mentorship, and may participate in committees or quality improvement projects. Qualifications Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Board exam; if graduation >2 years ago, 1 year LPN experience required; 1 year LPN experience within last 5 years preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience working in a team environment. Computer skills required; experience with electronic medical record systems preferred. Ability to work daytime hours and adapt to unpredictable situations. Accredited school of practical nursing preferred. License or Certification Current LPN license per applicable state requirements. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) for healthcare providers; certificate of completion required, not expiring within 90 days after start date. Accepted certificate providers: American Heart Association (BLS for Healthcare Providers) and Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Healthcare Providers). Additional Specialty Certification/Training Required as per work area. Internal applicants must attach three most recent performance appraisals. Exemption Status Nonexempt Compensation Detail $24.55 – $35.65 per hour Benefits Eligible Yes Schedule Full Time, 48‑80 hours per pay period. Monday‑Friday, day shifts; no weekends.
