PURPOSE: Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and eager to contribute to a collaborative environment while developing their accounting expertise and supporting the organization's financial success. *This is an on-site position based at our Diamond Bar, CA Office, this not a remote position. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with day-to-day accounting operations and the month-end close process. Prepare journal entries, maintain accounts, and reconcile account balances. Reconcile bank, cash receipt, disbursement, and other financial accounts, verify deposits, and promptly resolve account inquiries. Assist with accounts payable operations, process vendor invoices, update expense coding, prepare allocations, accruals, and review expense reimbursements. Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Assist with tax filing with federal, state, and local government agencies. Assist with financial analysis & reporting, audit inquiries, and special projects. Pay Range: $30 - $35 hourly SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required). One to three years of experience in accounting. Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of U.S. GAAP. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Sage Intacct is a plus). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
