Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, establishing baseline data for effective treatment planning.

• Collaborate with clients to create customized and culturally sensitive treatment plans that meet their specific needs, encompassing clear objectives and measurable outcomes.

• Utilize a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring a comprehensive approach to treatment.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their mental health journey.

• Monitor and track client progress regularly, adjusting treatment interventions as necessary to align with evolving client needs and goals.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions for diverse populations, providing a safe space for individuals to address shared challenges related to mental health.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and proper record-keeping.

• Engage in ongoing case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among peers.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT with Valley of Hope, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele experiencing various mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also support unique groups, including homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse, providing culturally informed care that honors their distinct experiences and needs.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to develop strong therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Demonstrated empathy and nonjudgmental understanding of clients' experiences.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively handle a varied caseload and administrative tasks.

Preferred Experience\n
