What You’ll Be Doing: Your car is your office, and the community is your clinic! In this highly rewarding role, you will: Play with Purpose: Evaluate our tiny patients using clinical judgment and standardized testing, interpret the results, and determine appropriate OT diagnoses. Create the Roadmap: Develop and carry out customized plans of care, write functional goals, and use targeted OT interventions. Empower Families: Develop home exercise programs and coach parents/caregivers so the progress continues long after your session ends. Collaborate: Communicate seamlessly with families, therapists, caregivers, and medical professionals to ensure wraparound care for each child (and refer out when necessary). Deliver Care: Conduct engaging OT sessions face-to-face or via video in home and community settings. Lead the Way: Share your knowledge by supervising students or occupational therapist assistants. Keep it on Track: Maintain your own schedule and stay on top of the necessary paperwork, including daily SOAP notes, evaluations, discharge documents, and Illinois Early Intervention reports. What You Bring to the Table: A Heart for Kids: Minimum of 6 months of pediatric experience required. The Credentials: Valid Illinois Occupational Therapy license (preferred) and a valid Illinois Early Intervention credential (preferred—but again, we'll help you get this!). The Logistics: Permission to work in the United States, a valid Illinois driver’s license, and a reliable vehicle for daily local travel between appointments. Health & Safety: Valid and up-to-date CPR certification, a negative TB test, and proof of required vaccinations (COVID-19, TDAP, Influenza).
