What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population, from newborns to geriatrics
• Manage a patient load of approximately 85-95 visits per day
• Perform IV starts, continuous patient monitoring, and multitasking across multiple systems
• Conduct thorough assessments, identify severity, and anticipate care needs
• Collaborate with charge nurses, hospitalists, and other care team members
• Adhere to hospital protocols, charting using Meditech Expanse EMR
• Support patient care through phlebotomy, medication administration, and maintaining a safe environment
• Handle minor traumas, stroke/NIHSS cases, respiratory distress, cardiac issues, and mental health concerns

What You Need

• Required:
  • Valid RN license in Louisiana or ability to obtain
  • BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS certifications
  • Minimum 2 years recent ER experience
  • Ability to pass EKG competency exam
  • Comfortable with admitted patient management, multitasking, and advanced monitoring skills
• Preferred:
  • Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR
  • Ability to work night shifts confidently
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
