You'll work alongside production teams to move raw materials and finished products safely throughout the facility while helping ensure production stays on schedule.Job Responsibilities As a Material Handler, you'll help ensure materials are moved safely and efficiently throughout the production process while supporting manufacturing and shipping operations. Responsibilities include:Locate the correct bundles of metal bars for each production work orderTransport materials to various machines and departments for processingLoad and unload raw materials and finished products from trucksPackage finished bars into cardboard tubes for shipmentBand and box finished products for shippingApply protective oil to finished products to help prevent rustFollow work orders and production instructions accuratelyComplete production paperwork, time tickets, and work ordersMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all company safety proceduresAssist with additional duties as assigned by the supervisorEquipment You'll UseSide LoaderOverhead CranePneumatic Banding GunStep LadderQualificationsPrevious material handling, warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial experience preferredForklift, side loader, or overhead crane experience is a plusAbility to safely lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shiftStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to read and follow work ordersDependable with a strong work ethicAbility to work safely in a manufacturing environmentWhy Join Our Team?
