The Payroll Coordinator will work closely with various departments and provide training and support to ensure timely and accurate payment of employee wages. Payroll Responsibilities Collects and verifies employee timekeeping data. Ensures accuracy of data between the timekeeping and ERP systems. Reviews computed wages to ensure accuracy. Completes necessary tasks and reporting for certified payroll. Ensures accuracy of federal and state certified payroll. Maintains accurate employee records and payroll transactions. Assist and/or prepare ad-hoc reports as needed. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Efficiently coordinate payroll tasks and strictly follow company policies and legal regulations. Assist in developing and implementing payroll policies and procedures, which comply with all organizational policies. Maintain compliance with federal and state certified payroll reporting. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Assist employees with any inquiries and promptly resolve any issues related to payroll in a professional manner. Provide support in the completion of payroll related audits. Maintain confidentiality of employee information and payroll records at all times. Assist with Standard Operating Procedures for the payroll department. Assist with process improvements and implementation of payroll software to ensure automation is achieved and maintained. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma required. Preferred- Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll, preference in Construction payroll. Preferred- experience with certified payroll reporting: Davis Bacon / Prevailing Wage In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations and legal requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Ability to interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
