Work Environment

This position is onsite at our modern surgical center which is conveniently located in a desirable area of Miami. With a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, you will engage daily with both patients and a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document medical histories to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment strategies.

• Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare team members to deliver holistic care tailored to the individual needs of patients.

• Conduct physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop evidence-based treatment plans based on clinical findings.

• Administer vaccinations and medications, providing detailed counseling on health promotion and lifestyle changes to enhance patient well-being.

• Monitor chronic illnesses and coordinate referrals to specialty care, ensuring seamless continuity of care for patients.

• Utilize the EPIC EMR system to maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of all patient interactions.

• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities to keep abreast of best practices and evolving medical techniques.

• Prioritize preventive care efforts, fostering health and wellness among patients through education and community outreach.

• Provide empathetic and patient-centric care while establishing rapport with patients and their families.

• Maintain strict adherence to legal and ethical standards in medical practice, ensuring patient confidentiality is upheld at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a key provider in our family medicine practice, you will work with a diverse patient population ranging from newborns to seniors. This role demands a keen understanding of the various health challenges faced by different age groups and the ability to provide tailored treatment and preventive care accordingly.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program is mandatory.

• Current Physician Assistant (PA) certification is required at the time of hiring.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Physician Assistant is expected.

• A Bachelor's Degree in a related field; a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies is preferred.

• Exceptional listening, critical thinking, and effective communication skills are essential.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in family medicine or a related specialty is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with the EPIC EMR system will be advantageous.

• Demonstrated success in delivering preventive health education and promoting patient engagement is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
