Work Environment

This role is situated within a cutting-edge hospital setting in Hialeah, where you will collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals. Our facility is equipped with modern medical technologies, ensuring that you have the tools necessary to provide exceptional care. The work schedule consists of Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours weekly, with shifts starting at 5:00 PM. This allows for a balanced work-life schedule while still meeting the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments through comprehensive examinations and detailed reviews of medical histories.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging (e.g., X-rays), to guide treatment decisions.
• Diagnose acute health conditions and manage treatment plans effectively to address various illnesses.
• Develop tailored treatment protocols for patients with chronic diseases, ensuring continual monitoring and adjustment as needed.
• Prescribe medications, track their efficacy, and make necessary adjustments based on individual patient needs.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and manage scheduling to optimize workflow and ensure quality care.
• Educate patients and their families on health-related topics, preventive measures, and treatment processes.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention strategies among the patient population.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, including staying updated on the latest medical practices and research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will serve a diverse patient population within the Hialeah community, addressing a wide range of healthcare needs from acute medical issues to chronic disease management. Our focus is on providing culturally competent care, with an emphasis on effective communication and education for patients and their families. Fluency in both English and Spanish is highly valued, as it allows for enhanced interaction with our bilingual community.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
• Current national certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C).
• Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in Florida.
• Valid DEA license for prescribing medications.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and commitment to patient care.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in an urgent care or family medicine setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment.
• Experience with EMR systems for patient record management.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this role is competitive, with an annual salary range of USD 140,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to a base salary, the program includes an annual quality incentive with a target of $50,000, ensuring that contributions to patient care are recognized and rewarded.
