Work Environment

The role is situated within a sophisticated onsite surgical center that is equipped with the latest technology and resources necessary for a superior standard of care. This position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule with a consistent eight-hour workday, free from weekend shifts, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced practitioner care to a diverse range of orthopaedic patients, including the assessment, diagnosis, and implementation of treatment plans under the supervision of attending orthopaedic surgeons.
• Conduct comprehensive patient exams, interpret and analyze radiology reports and lab results, and formulate effective treatment strategies for optimal patient health outcomes.
• Take detailed patient histories, prescribe medication, order necessary therapies, and offer surgical assistance as required during procedures.
• Manage patient care throughout the orthopaedic care continuum, which includes pre-operative assessments, intraoperative assistance, and post-operative follow-up in both hospital and outpatient clinic settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The role focuses on a wide spectrum of patients requiring orthopaedic care, ranging from acute injury management to chronic condition treatment. You will interact directly with patients across various demographics, ensuring a personalized approach to care that caters to both physical and emotional wellness. Your contributions will directly enhance the quality and efficacy of treatment experiences for our patients.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or PhD from an accredited Physician Assistant Program is required.
• A valid state license as a Physician Assistant (PA), along with national certification, is essential.
• At least one year of clinical experience in orthopaedic specialty care is required, with a focus on recent hands-on experience in orthopaedic procedures and wound care management.
• Possession of a DEA Certificate within three months of hire is necessary.
• Ability to effectively learn and assist in surgical operations, performing designated tasks under the direct supervision of our orthopaedic surgeons.

Preferred Experience

• One or more years of recent clinical experience specifically in managing urgent referrals and complex care scenarios in orthopaedics.
• Demonstrated capability in wound care and familiarity with advanced orthopaedic surgical procedures.

Compensation and Benefits

The competitive salary range for this position is between $120,000 and $160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skills.
