Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 2+ years of experience and TX or compact RN licensure. Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required TNCC/TCAR certification required within 30 days of starting Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Teaching hospital experience preferred Trauma Level II experience preferred Cerner charting experience preferred Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams Experience with central line, arterial line, PICC line, and peripheral line care/management Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips Experience with IV insulin protocols and thrombolytic agents Experience with ventilator care, BiPAP/CPAP, and airway management Experience with post cardiac angiogram, post MI, and pre/post cardiac surgery care Experience with pacemakers, TAVR, and sheath removal/TR Band care preferred Neurological skills such as craniotomy, EVD, and post-TPA care preferred Responsibilities Support a newly opened PCU that anticipates ICU-level patients Care for MS/Tele, PCU, and/or critical care patients, with floating to these areas during low census MS/Tele patient ratio 6:1; Critical Care ratio 2:1 Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Cerner charting system preferred Provide direct patient care across MS/Tele, PCU, and critical care areas as needed based on census Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for positive results Candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could result in a positive drug screen Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted RTO must be submitted for consideration First-time travelers are welcome to apply Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-752835 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
