We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Outpatient Physical Health Therapist to join our dynamic team at Porterville Movement Rehab & Wellness Center in Jersey City, New Jersey. In this role, you will play an essential part in assisting our patients to regain and enhance their mobility and functional abilities. Our modern 5,000 square foot sports medicine facility is designed to enable optimal rehabilitation and recovery, featuring advanced equipment and a holistic approach to physical health. Work Environment

This Onsite position offers a collaborative atmosphere where you will be part of a small but passionate team, including two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). Working Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, you will engage directly with our patients in a facility that primarily treats individuals with private insurance, ensuring high-quality care and personalized attention.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for new patients and develop individualized treatment plans that align with their specific healthcare objectives.
• Manage a caseload efficiently, typically handling one patient per hour, ensuring that each session is tailored to maximize their rehabilitation and recovery.
• Implement evidence-based treatment techniques, utilizing your expertise in manual therapy and therapeutic modalities to enhance mobility and functional capabilities.
• Encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, fostering motivation and commitment to their treatment programs.
• Document care services meticulously in accordance with best practices to track patient progress and enhance communication within the healthcare team.
• Continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjusting approaches as necessary to respond to patient needs and improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to coordinate comprehensive care and optimize treatment plans.
• Promote preventative health strategies by educating patients on exercises and lifestyle modifications that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily serves patients with orthopedic conditions who are seeking rehabilitation to recover from injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain issues. The focus on private medical insurance allows us to offer personalized and focused care strategies that cater to their specific needs, ensuring they receive the utmost attention as they work towards peak functional recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Physical Therapy is required.
• License to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey, with no record of disciplinary actions or board actions against your license.
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of manual therapy techniques and rehabilitative exercises.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, especially platforms like WebPT.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with fellow health professionals.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred, enhancing your ability to provide specialized care.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing exercise regimens that address a variety of conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
