Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform visible armed patrols, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon, Tue, Wed, Sat, Sun – 02:00 PM to 10:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, platforms, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and support the enforcement of location rules, post orders, and applicable regulations. Assist with traffic and pedestrian control, provide directions and information, and coordinate with supervisors, public officials, and/or first responders during incidents or service disruptions. Minimum Requirements Be at least 21 years of age. Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
