Job Description As a Security Officer Front Desk Specialist in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation. In this role, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor activity from a stationary post, and support security‑related operations with strong communication and customer service. You will bring a caring, reliable approach, use teamwork and integrity in daily interactions, and contribute to a professional environment that values agility and innovation. What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location. Monitor front desk activity, manage access control processes, verify identification and/or visitor information, and document arrivals, departures, and other front‑desk activity. Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders when appropriate. Answer phones, greet guests, provide directions, and support security‑related reporting, logging, and administrative tasks connected to front desk operations. Observe lobby and entry areas for unusual activity and report concerns in a timely manner to help support site policies and security‑related operations. Minimum Requirements A Certified Protection Officer designation is required. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
