Role overview

Provide field diagnostics, maintenance, and repair across forklifts, conveyors, pallet jacks, and automated systems. Expect approximately 50% travel throughout the Midwest, including occasional overnights.

The impact you’ll make

• Pinpoint issues and perform repairs on diverse material handling assets at customer sites.
• Carry out preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Install and help commission new systems and components.
• Document work thoroughly—service reports, parts usage, and maintenance logs.
• Set expectations with customers and explain technical findings in plain language.
• Operate to company and site safety standards without exception.
• Partner with internal technical support and parts operations to expedite resolutions.

What we’re looking for

• High school diploma or GED required; advanced technical schooling preferred.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems (exposure to material handling is advantageous).
• Demonstrated diagnostic ability and systematic problem-solving.
• Valid driver’s license; clean driving history.
• Comfort traveling up to 50% around the Midwest; overnight stays as needed.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-centered approach.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in warehouse/distribution environments with varying conditions.
