Support elementary students as an onsite Adult Support Paraprofessional, providing vital instructional and behavioral assistance for individuals requiring a high level of support. This role focuses on creating a positive learning environment and ensuring students receive the specialized attention they need for success. You will collaborate closely with school staff to maintain an inclusive, structured, and safe classroom.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Delaware Paraeducator Permit required; candidates without a current permit will not be considered. If your permit is pending, a screenshot from the DEEDS portal must be provided.
• Experience working with students who have significant behavioral and instructional needs preferred.
• Ability to maintain a student-centered approach and flexibility within dynamic environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with teachers, administrators, and families.
• For candidates with an RBT, please note that district and agency supervision will not be provided. Any ongoing BCBA supervision must be arranged outside of school hours.

Role Responsibilities:

• Work one-on-one or in a small group (maximum 1:2 ratio) to implement individualized instructional and behavioral strategies.
• Support classroom routines, transitions, and academic activities under the direction of the classroom teacher and school staff.
• Foster positive relationships and assist with crisis management or de-escalation if needed.
• Document and communicate student progress or incidents as required.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment in line with school policies.

Additional Details:

• Monday to Friday, 35 hours weekly with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
• Candidates must be agreeable to completing mandated fingerprinting for a $85 fee.
