Position Details Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Relief – Austin, TX Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Friday 02:45 PM – 11:30 PM; Saturday 02:45 PM – 11:30 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and shoppers while carrying out security‑related procedures, location‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to deter unwanted activity. Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential hazards, and assist with access control, loss prevention support, and incident reporting in accordance with Allied Universal standards and location expectations. Minimum Requirements Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security experience. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
