Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Driver Patrol in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $30.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Thu 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report unusual activity, equipment issues, and/or policy violations in accordance with post orders and client guidelines. Minimum Requirements: Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree. Possess an armed guard card and/or license. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
