Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Position in Austin, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thu: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and other security‑related policies at the location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report observations through appropriate communication channels. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials as directed, and document security‑related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations. Support emergency response activities by assisting with evacuations, directing foot traffic, and coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required. Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
