As a Care Team Assistant, you will work under the direction of an RN and Surgical Technologist to assist with the care of perioperative patients and OR room preparation activities such as:

• Assisting with OR bed set ups
• Assisting with equipment and supplies
• Housekeeping duties to turn over rooms between cases
• Assisting in positioning patients for procedures
• Assisting in transporting patients
• Assisting with transporting labs/specimens
• Providing excellent service to patients as a key member of the clinical care team
• Assisting patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collect data, and ensure the patient has a safe, organized environment
• Assisting with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician
• Supporting the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties

Qualifications:

• Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider
• Preferred: Multiple patient care skills preferred. Prefer one year experience in health care related field, sterile processing, patient transport or equivalent responsibilities.
