Key Responsibilities

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist, you will:

• Direct and oversee physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring function in accordance with individualized treatment plans.
• Supervise and guide Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure that therapy implementations align with the established plans of care.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional abilities, utilizing diagnostic testing methods to assess muscle, nerve, and joint performance.
• Evaluate the home environment when necessary and provide recommendations to enhance patient independence.
• Administer various therapies, including manual and non-manual exercises, traction, and massage, tailoring approaches based on each patient's needs.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and regularly update comprehensive care plans, ensuring a unified approach to patient treatment.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to support continuity of care.
• Serve as a patient advocate, providing education and advising patients and families on the use of physical therapy devices and overall therapy programs.
• Be an active participant in case conferences to discuss patient progress and modifications of therapy as needed.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and best practices throughout all therapy services.

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from surgery, experiencing chronic pain, or rehabilitating from injuries. Your ability to connect with patients and tailor interventions to meet their specific circumstances will directly impact their recovery and overall satisfaction with our services.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates should possess:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience working as a Physical Therapist in acute care or home care settings. A background in developing innovative patient-driven strategies and familiarity with case management would be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
