Financial Analyst

JOB PURPOSE:

The role of a Financial Analyst is to create, generate, and analyze financial statements, reports, supporting documentation, forecasts, and special projects in a timely and accurate manner for internal and external reporting purposes. This is not a remote position. Candidates must be within commutable distance to Norcross and Atlanta Georgia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare financial reporting packages and supporting document

• Research and prepare variance analysis and explanation

• Responsible for the preparation and analysis of the periodic management reporting of financial result

• Provide Ad hoc financial analysis and financial modelling to support business objective

• Able to interpret financial statements and perform standard financial statement analysis and statistical calculation

• Creates and generates accurate and timely financial statements and other supporting document

• Reconciles reports, account balances, and financial data to supporting document

• Performs variance and margin analysis; creates trend reports and analysi

• Performs what-if analysis based on multiple scenarios and correlation of multiple component

• Able to extrapolate and create forecasts / pro-forma of financial performance

• Understands the flow of financial data from operations, to subsystems, to PeopleSoft GL and report

• Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of fiscal budgeting principles and practices.

• Ability to interpret and analyze programs, policies, and procedures regarding personnel and fiscal matters.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• PeopleSoft experience a plu

• Demonstrated understanding of GAAP.

• Proven analytical aptitude.

• Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communications capabilities.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior leadership team and C-Suite partners.

• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelors Degree with major in Accounting, Finance, or related field

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Two to Five years in public accounting or corporate accounting
