Licensed Psychologist – CoreCivic, Leavenworth, KS Job Location: Midwest Regional Reception Center. Annual Salary: $175,000. Job Overview CoreCivic mental health teams provide care in institutional settings. We seek Licensed Psychologists to plan and implement psychological services for inmates. Responsibilities Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on records and clinical interviews. Consult with mental health team members, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, to integrate patient care. Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans. Make regular rounds in segregation or confined housing to assess inmate adjustment and treatment needs. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques, using treatments and activities for individuals in caseload. Provide appropriate mental health assessments, counseling, and confrontation‑avoidance interventions to address needs of inmates in crisis. Consult with psychiatry, nursing, medical, educational, chaplain, security staff, and others to understand reasons for escalation of behaviors and changes in mental health condition. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Doctoral degree in Psychology. Must possess a current, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state of practice. Must have two years of clinical experience, including one year in a comparable position. Valid driver’s license required. Minimum age requirement: at least 21 years of age.
