The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in St. Johns that are seeking Setup Technicians. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and stage equipment and materials for production runs according to specifications.
- Configure and adjust machinery settings, including tooling and fixtures, for optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure proper function and longevity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment malfunctions or setup discrepancies.
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation of setup processes and equipment status.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize setup procedures and reduce downtime.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in manufacturing or a related field
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents (e.g., blueprints, schematics)
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) software.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics or technical drawings.
- Prior experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment.
- Experience with basic soldering or wiring.
