Project Manager

We’re partnering with an established South Florida General Contractor looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager for a major historic restoration project in Coral Gables. This is a substantial, high-profile project and they need someone who has previously managed complex restoration, renovation or remodel work and understands the challenges that come with delivering construction within an existing and historically significant building. This isn’t a position where you’ll simply be managing paperwork. They’re looking for a Project Manager who can take ownership, make decisions, manage subcontractors and work closely with the Superintendent to drive the project forward. THE ROLE As Project Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the project from a management and commercial standpoint, including: Managing the project from planning through completion and closeout Subcontractor procurement, buyout and management Budget management, cost forecasting and financial reporting RFIs, submittals, contracts and change orders Procurement and long-lead item tracking Working closely with the Superintendent to maintain the project schedule Coordinating with ownership, architects, consultants and subcontractors Leading project meetings and maintaining clear communication across the team Identifying potential issues early and driving solutions Maintaining quality and ensuring the project is delivered successfully WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 4-6+ years of Project Management experience within construction Previous historic restoration, major renovation or remodel experience Experience delivering projects valued at $40M+ General Contractor experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of project financials, contracts, procurement and scheduling Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate effectively with field leadership Strong communication and client-facing skills South Florida experience is advantageous THE OPPORTUNITY You’ll be joining an established contractor with a strong presence in South Florida and taking a key position on a complex, high-profile project.
