Screen Prep Operator
The Screen Prep Operator will be responsible for preparing screens and components for assembly and fabrication. This involves cutting materials to specified lengths using a bandsaw and tape measure, splitting and rolling them to meet required specifications. The operator will perform faceoff work by spinning the screen and grinding against it, and use a bridge saw to grind and deburr excess metal to achieve the final length and finish. This role is hands-on and physical, with duties potentially varying each day. The operator will support the daily functions of the shop and assist other departments as needed, performing visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Prepare screens and components for assembly and fabrication.
- Cut materials to specified lengths using a bandsaw and tape measure.
- Split and roll screens to meet specifications.
- Perform faceoff work by spinning the screen and grinding against it.
- Use a bridge saw to grind and deburr excess metal.
- Support day-to-day functions of the shop and assist other departments.
- Perform visual inspections to ensure materials meet quality standards.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in using tape measure and bandsaw.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Comfortable with standing throughout the entire shift.
- Preferred experience in grinding and deburring.
- Maintain a positive image for the company.
- Ability to perform miscellaneous shop duties as required.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a machine shop environment that is climate-controlled. Employees must wear steel-toed boots and proper PPE, and should be comfortable working in a loud setting and getting their hands dirty. The job includes two shifts: 1st shift from 5am - 3pm, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Fridays; and 2nd shift from 3pm - 1am, Monday through Thursday, with a $2 shift differential. Training on 1st shift for two months is required, with flexibility in scheduling.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.63 - $24.72/hr.
